Hotel – Renard with Marian Gold

Utilising atmospheric monochrome animation, the video is a journey inside the world of ‘Hotel’. A constant exploration of presence and absence, of lost feelings and possibilities is documented through an animated white line that works as a trace of what is left behind to tell the story.

The animation is predominantly produced through traditional frame by frame technique and rotoscoping.

Travel In Time Renard – (feat. Pascal Finkenauer)

A commissioned music video for Renard – Travel In Time feat. Pascal Finkenauer.
Exploring the notions of absence by introducing elements of negative space as it shifts and transforms through music and dance and delving in and out of a constructed fantasy and reality. Combining the 2 dimensional world of illustration and animation with the physicality of dance to accompany the contemporary, modern take on synthpo by Renard.

Other

‘Other’ has won the 2nd prize at the European Animation Competition by Eleusis 2021 / European Capital of Culture – powered by Animasyros.

A community that is obsessed with the notion of being ‘clean’ and maintaining a fixed identity is deemed to relive its own past. Not everyone wants to be a guest at the fancy dinner table; acceptance should come with no conditions.

The Heart of the Matter

1 – 11 November 2018, Copeland Gallery, London, UK

The Heart of the Matter is an exhibition that brings together art and medicine to reflect on the human heart. Created by artist Sofie Layton and bioengineer Giovanni Biglino, and inspired by patients with heart conditions, their families and clinicians. The artworks and the stories that have influenced them offer insight into this extraordinary organ, which is both the engine room of our body and a symbol of human emotion.

The Barometer of My Heart

baormeter 50

The Barometer of My Heart was a participatory arts project exploring male health, masculine identity and potency. Created and directed by Mark Storor and produced by Anna Ledgard in association with Artsadmin.

The Barometer of My Heart explores the rich diversity of male experience. Carnivalesque, primitive and tender: still and moving image, music and animation, live performance, science and sound combine to create an intimate reimagining of masculinity today.
